Helping share cultures and beliefs through a dynamic new brand
Brand identity & cover art for a new podcast series — needed yesterday? Read how Khula delivered the goods for ‘Howzit Human’.
The Challenge
When Mav Chetty, founder of Playlyst Studios, an award-winning Johannesburg-based podcast production specialist, needed a fresh brand identity and cover art for his new miniseries and channel — ‘Howzit Human’ — he tapped the Khula team for some standout visuals that’d reflect the show’s focus on self-help and the power of conversation.
Oh – and there was just one week to get it all done!
The Outcome
The Khula team got to work on some design concepts and moodboards. As the podcast is about human connections and everyday life in South Africa, Khula chose bold and edgy typography — and incorporated the South African hand signal into the logo typeface to reflect the podcast’s focus.
With the identity and logos decided, the team proceeded to incorporate these brand elements into the cover art design. The visual elements of the brand were presented with an African theme background – along with different colour variations, to give ‘Howzit Human’ several options to choose from.
And the result? See for yourself! Or better still, tune in to ‘Howzit Human’.
