Going solo: how stronger branding and an improved online presence helped a Registered Massage Therapist leave the clinic and go it alone.

The Challenge
Serving Lower Lonsdale in North Vancouver, Tanner Chichak RMT is passionate about healing localized injuries and resolving postural imbalances through sports-related massage therapy. For a while; he offered his services via a rented space in a clinic, alongside other RMTs. However, Tanner’s dream was to create his own studio where he could operate at his own pace and schedule, and increase his profits as well.
So in 2021, he made the bold decision to quit the clinic and go it alone on his own by creating an independent studio space. Tanner needed a cost-effective way to create stronger branding and an improved online presence for his new, solo studio space. That’s easier said than done for a busy masseur and solopreneur!
The Outcome
After our discovery call, we had a clear indication of Tanner’s budget and his needs, so we created a strategy to provide Tanner with a cost-effective solution to close the gaps and elevate his brand image and online presence in line with his aspirations. We also focussed on finessing the website copy through our team of creative copywriters. This ensured that Tanner’s messaging was clear. Our edits to Tanner’s website copy were also reformed by Search Engine Optimization (SEO) keyword research, and tweaking metadata.
Additionally, we created a "Google My Business" page and profile, making his business details discoverable on both Google Search and Google Maps. After the improved website launched, Tanner was fully booked for the rest of the year. His website now ranks in the top 5 on Google for the keyword “RMT Lower Lonsdale”, and he’s collecting fantastic Google Reviews, which adds to his credibility and authority as an RMT.
